Shan Ruprai
Shan Ruprai is the Chairman of the Australian Organisation for Quality NSW and the President of the Asia Pacific Quality Organisation. He is the Chairman of Australian Institute of Business Improvement.
Shan is Board member of the Accreditation review of JAS-ANZ. He has also served on the advisory boards of International Certification Bodies.
He was the Chairman of WSAA-QAN (37 major government owned water utilities of Australia) for 10 years. Shan had active input in revising ISO Standard 9001:2000 via QR/8 and QR/2. He had active input in designing and implementing the NSW (Australia) Government Quality Assurance Policy that was launched by the Deputy Premier in 1993.
Shan has in-depth experience both in public and private sectors specialising in Quality, Risk Management, OHS&R, EMS, Process Re-engineering, Corporatisation, Restructuring, Best Practice, Benchmarking, Contract Law, Balanced Scorecard, Business and Strategic Planning.
Shan has delivered many papers on a variety of management topics. Shan's achievements have been acknowledged in the print media with over 62 articles in the Press. Shan is a Juran Medalist.
Robert Gilchrist

Educated at University of Sydney, MA with thesis in experimental neuropsychology.
Support and Development Manager, Sunnyfield (22 years). Engaged in implementation of ISO 9000 (QMS), HAACP, DESQA certification. Currently engaged in strategy & planning section. Previously, Psychologist at The Spastic Centre of NSW (Nine years).President Manly Community Centre (2005 -).
Jane Yue Li
Jane Yue Li is the General Secretary and Director of AOQ NSW. She is still one of the Board's youngest ever members.
Jane is part of the AOQ NSW Board of Director's Six Sigma green belt project.
As part of her role as a mechanical design engineer for an international consulting firm, Jane is in charge of quality assurance.
A graduate of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Jane moved to Australia in March 2001. She has a master's degree in engineering management (University of Technology Sydney), and is in the process of completing a second master's degree, at the University of Sydney in sustainable design.
While studying at UTS Jane began attending the AOQ NSW forums, becoming one of the youngest members of AOQ-NSW, joining the board in 2006.
Vas KANDIAH is a Board Member of AOQ-NSW and the Chair of the AOQ-NSW Training Committee. He is also the Six Sigma Master Black Belt (SSMB) for the AOQ and has launched the Six Sigma training program for the AOQ-NSW Board and its corporate and individual members.
Vas has several years of Six Sigma process improvement experience and he is an ASQ (American Society for Quality) certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB).
Vas' industry experience includes health, information technology, telecommunications, defense and solar energy. As a Manager for data quality and information Vas has introduced DMAIC and implemented several operational process improvement initiatives to Medicare Australia. As a Six Sigma Work Stream Leader and a Senior Office Vas has implement improvement initiatives to Telstra Australia's corporate forecasting process. Vas's Senior Management roles at Telstra also include Principle Engineer, Manager Communications and Senior business Analyst. In the IT space Vas is now involved in managing the quality functions of a major IT project as part of the National E-Health initiatives at NEHTA Ltd.
Vas is also the Chairman of High Tech Solar Pty Ltd. which is committed to renewable energy program for rural area development.
Vas completed his MBA in E-business Management at University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and his BSc degree in Engineering at the University of Middlesex, UK.

Mr. M. Nadeem Khaliq

Nadeem holds Bachelor of Science, Master of Biochemistry, and Master of Philosophy in Biochemistry with special projects on clinical studies. He is qualified Lead Assessor and Lead Auditor. He has 17 years in depth experience in small business management.
He specialises in pharmaceutical marketing and medical research projects. He oversights the process of NATA accreditation and ISO certification of pathology laboratories. He is the founding member of a Sydney private pathology lab with branches in other countries since 1998. Nadeem has active input in driving the quality and measurement of uncertainty in pathology lab for many years.
William (Bill) J. NASH
Bill has been working with quality and continuous improvement management systems since 1991, and is currently a divisional quality & continuous improvement manager for a major Australian multinational engineering company.
Trained and qualified in the UK as a mechanical and production engineer, his career is founded in electronic and electrical systems and includes experience in a variety of industries including; water infrastructure, mining, petrochemical and metals refining, telecoms & digital television, defence/ aerospace, roads, rail-freight infrastructure, mechanical handling, industrial power transmission, food processing, packaging, tourism, printing, publishing, market research, security, and medical practice management.
He has assisted over two dozen organisations with their quality management programmes and has been involved with certification to the ISO 9001, AS/NZS 4801, ISO 14001, IEC Ex, & ISO 20252 standards.
Bill is a Certified Quality Practitioner, Qualified Quality Auditor, an Executive Member of the Australian Organisation for Quality, and has a Graduate Diploma in Management.
Bill has worked with many voluntary organisations including the executives of the NSW Parents Council - serving as President and Secretary, the Australian Parents Council, and Young Achievement NSW.
Peter Kapil
Peter is a Managing Director of Australian Business Solutions Co., a consultancy in Business Management Systems providing specialist training and strategic advice in business improvement. Prior to starting Australian Business Solutions Co., Peter has worked as Executive Manager - Global Business Operations with Benchmark Certification for 11years and was responsible for development and management of environmental, occupational health and safety; quality (including automotive supply chain program based on TS 16949), laboratory management, IT security, compliance and Product certification programs. Peter assisted Benchmark Certification to grow into an international certification body with interests in Australia, Malaysia, Korea, China, Iran, Tokyo, India, Indonesia and New Zealand.
Peter is currently the Board Member of Australian Organisation for Quality, NSW and Member of Australian Organisation for Quality Training Committee which provides training, research and advice on Management Systems. He has also served on the advisory boards of International Certification Bodies.
He has a broad based industry and business background spanning almost 24 years in the fields of engineering, automotive, mining, construction, mechanical and water engineering, and fleet management. This experience encompasses resources sector, state government and private enterprise (including small business).
Peter is also international qualified management consultant with extensive experience in environmental, occupational health and safety and quality management, productivity measurement and business process improvement, organisation behavior study, strategic planning and facilitation, procurement management, good governance principles, risk management, compliance programs and national privacy principles.
Peter has also designed and delivered numerous training courses and seminars on all aspects of environmental, safety, risk and quality management, including auditor training. He also continues to present and publish papers on a variety of management issues, both at the national and international level.
Peter is a RABQSA Registered Senior Assessor for Quality, Safety and Environmental Management. He is also an IATF (International Automotive Task Force) International Automotive Program Assessor and Veto Authority for independent reviews. He has received formal recognition of his status as a management practitioner of the highest order.
